Land North of Iver Station
Access
The primary vehicle access to the development will be via a new roundabout on Thorney Lane, with additional access points for pedestrians and cyclists to the north and south.
This roundabout will be located slightly to the north of the existing vehicle access to Thorney Business Park, opposite the entrance to Court Lane Industrial Estate. The existing access to the Industrial Estate will be incorporated as one of the arms of the roundabout, while the existing access to Thorney Business Park will be removed.
Access proposals for the new neighbourhood
We are also exploring the possibility of a secondary access to the site further north on Thorney Lane, to improve access to the northern part of the new neighbourhood and the proposed primary school in particular.
The form and function of the secondary access is being discussed with Buckinghamshire Council as Local Highways Authority and could enable an internal bus loop through the new neighbourhood subject to funding, serving the new northern entrance / exit to Iver Station as well as the new homes.
None of the existing Public Rights of Way – including the path along the canal and Meads Bridge – will be affected by the proposed development and will remain open throughout, supplemented by new routes through the site to the new northern entrance / exit at Iver Station.
